sucess…is how you view failure

so, i didn’t get the first job that i’ve applied for in preparation for my post-grad life in a few months…but surprisingly, it’s a lot easier to take than i thought. i pretty much logged into the Human Resources page to check the status of my application, and all it simply said was, “Others Stronger.” Moments later, my boss called me upstairs and she and her boss debriefed me on why they made that decision.

i can’t say that i’m particularly jolly, but i think this is a good way to start off my job search. i feel the realness in it now, and the reality is that i won’t get every job that i apply for. that there will be downs. and that it’s okay. because at least now, i know that this was not the right door for me, and that when a door does open…it will feel good.

so i just have to keep on knocking.
